“Destination Australia” – The Book

Hey all! It was with great affection that I have recently published a book about my personal pathway becoming an Australian Resident two years ago. The book – Destino Australia: Como me tornei residente australiana sem sair do Brasil (Portuguese version) reports my first Australian year experience, since applying from Brazil for the 189 subclass type of visa (Independent Skilled Visa) as an Architect, which granted me the permanent residency in this country.

The initial idea of the book emerged as a form of self-therapy, a kind of self-reflection about the challenges and surprises that arose along this path of adaptation in this new country. Throughout my writing, I realised that the content could also help many people interested in taking the same path as me at some point of their lives. In the book I tried to convey information about Australian culture, the work environment, job search, relationships, language, norms of behavior, etc. and, of course, a little bit of my dramas and personal adventures (lol).

I have no doubt that adapting to a new culture is no easy task for anyone at all. For this reason, I always find it positive to have relevant and updated information about an specific location, especially if this will be your first time visiting this new nation, as it was my case.

The Portuguese version of the book is available for purchase online, with delivery throughout Brazil, through the link to Brazil and is also available as paperback version and e-book on Amazon.com.br (also through Kindle Unlimited) through the link . The new Fan Page of the book, with news and interesting information about Australia, is available on Facebook through the link. Our official website can be accessed via the link.

I really hope that everyone enjoys my journey and that my words can somehow inspire you and wait a little bit… the English version will be released soon! 😉

P.S.: This is probably my last post of the year as soon I am leaving for very exciting holidays around Asia. Next year I come back with more cool news about Architecture and this parts of the globe. Wish you all Happy Holidays and an awesome New Year! Cheers!
